With the increase in infant mental health awareness and interest, and ongoing service developments in this area, we have had several enquiries about locally available training programs.

The University of Otago runs a distance learning course – Introduction to Infant Mental Health program. This has two 4 day block courses in Christchurch, for which attendance is compulsory. Applicants must possess an appropriate professional health qualification and have at least two years postgraduate clinical experience. The University of Auckland offers two papers with an Infant Mental Health focus within the Postgraduate Diploma of Health Sciences (PGDipHSc), PSYCHIAT 771 and 772.
