Dr Patricia Champion MBE, is a Developmental Psychologist, a qualified teacher and speech language therapist. She is the Founder and Clinical Director Emeritus of the Champion Centre, Christchurch and Adjunct Senior Fellow, University of Canterbury.

Mrs Elisabeth Muir is a Child and Adult Psychotherapist who worked with children and families for over thirty years in New Zealand and Canada. She had a particular focus on working with infants and young children, beginning in the Developmental Centre, a service for Under Fives in Dunedin. She was a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Psychological Medicine, University of Otago. During her time at the Infant and Family Programme at the Hincks Centre, Toronto, Canada she initiated and was co-principal investigator in research comparing the infant-led intervention Watch, Wait and Wonder and Selma Fraiberg’s Parent-Infant approach. With others, Elisabeth designed and taught on the C.M. Hincks National Daycare Training Project. She has published internationally, presented her work and done training workshops in Europe, Canada, the United States, and Australia. Elisabeth retired in 2011.
