WELCOME TO OUR NEW WEBSITE

IMHAANZ is the New Zealand affiliate of the
World Association for Infant Mental Health (WAIMH).

Infant Mental Health is ‘the optimal social, emotional, and cognitive well-being of children ages 0 to 3 and developed by secure and stable relationships with nurturing caregivers’. (Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health®)

Here at IMHAANZ we’re passionate about the social and emotional well being of infants and their families.

Our work involves

  • supporting our many regional groups to provide ‘grassroots’ networking and professional development opportunities to those working in the field of infant mental health
  • informing agencies, organisations and others about the importance of social and emotional development in 0 to 4-year-olds
  • providing information to our members through our website, conferences, workshops, our Facebook page and newsletters.

Take a look around our website to find out more or Join Now to become a member.
